In our project we were always able to import a default population of a certain builder by placing a builder.xml in config/applications/<project> and that worked perfectly as we pretty much always needed that functionality when we start a project from scratch. MMBase detects there's nothing, creates a table for each builder and imports several default items from forementioned file - if ofocurse we mention there's a datasource in our projects main xml-file.

Now we are in a running project and need to import several default items into MMBase that's already defined (but doesn't have a population yet). Somehow we're unable to have MMBase automatically import that data at the restart of MMBase. Emptying or dropping that specific mm_[builder] table has no effect on triggering MMBase to import our xml-file with data.

In the documentation there's a XML Importer (TCP 2.0) mentioned, but that's a bit much for the 10-20 items of our builder we need to import straightaway, without doing it by hand :) So basically, is there either a way of touching a file, emptying a table or another way to have MMBase at restart auto importing a default population (without starting with a whole empty database as we normally do at the beginning of a project) or is there an import option in the MMBase Administration, where we can speficy a xml-file?
