Thanks for the suggestion :)

I found that the reason the things I tried before 'didn't work' was that the
user I was asking to retry posting the journal was _only_ retrying to post,
rather than deleting and recreating the journal. Obviously by that time the
number had already been allocated, so reposting would be worthless. One she
recreated the journal (which would then use the new number sequence
settings) things were fine.

duplicated

Look in the List button on the number sequence.  Delete all the records here
(maybe copy and paste them all to excel first as a historical record)

Hope that fixes it

Subject: [development-axapta] CRITICAL! General Journal Line duplicated

Hi all, this is currently a showstopper for us.
Somehow our system is trying to re-use voucher numbers from about a month
ago from the General Journal Line number sequence, and obviously failing
to
post. THIS IS CURRENTLY STOPPING OUR MONTH END COMPLETELY!!!

-We have tried disabling continuous on the number sequence
-We have tried manually setting the next value to a value much higher than
  the last used one
-We have tried increasing the number of digits in the sequence, and
assigning the next item to a high value

This is only happening on this sequence. I have seen a number of posts in
this group regarding this, and it seems the only fix is to destroy and
recreate the number sequence? Is this true, if so, what is the safest way
to
  do this.
