I found that if you have a loaded network interface you’ll find your server
listed.. Otherwise you’ll see an empty window..
Anyway.. You can create your db manually and then configure it in axapta
without using the db wizard.

Don't know the reason but I've had this also on some machines before. I
did create de AXDB manually on the sql server. You don't really need
this wizard.

I'm trying to re-install my Axapta (Remove program, drop database and
new install again), but when I'm installing Axapta Client, in Create
Database Wizard, list of Available Server is empty.
