Yes, this should be fine.

So I Guess the answer here is to have two separate Webservers to Run the Two
Com Environments in..

One machine for Live

And one for the Play Environment, Do you think this will This allow me to
run them at the same time with diff application & Data

Thankyou very Much

Rocco

The AxaptaCOMConnector.Axapta2 com object is simply an extension of the
AxaptaCOMConnector.Axapta object. It allows more control over the login
process. Have a look at the Developer's Guide for more info on the two.

You can't use the two separately for different environments so yes, you will
need to stop the COM object to switch between your live and test
environments.

Thankyou for your response Matt

This is a Little Unfair.  I am glad I checked, I would have kept trying in
Vain.

One Question, when we duplicate our Live System to a Test Environment are
they not two separate systems, Both have differnet axapta
application/data/clientlocation and Config Files.

I am able to Stop and switch between Com Connectors for each system, but it
won't allow both

In the Component Services under COM+ Application

The Navision Axapta Business Connector\Components has
AxaptaCOMConnector.Axapta.1   &
AxaptaCOMConnector.Axapta2.1

Are these my two Com Clients.

Are they Not Separate ?, Does Axapta need both to Run one portal.

If I remember correctly (sorry I tried to track down the doc but I had no
luck), it is only possible to connect the ABC to one AOS/System at a time.
That system is determined the first time a connection is established. To be
able to connect to a different AOS the COM object must be stopped and
restarted.

I am having trouble establishing two seperate Com Connections one for my
Live & and one for  Play System for Enterprise Portal Web Access.

When I register the Play Config File  and go into my Live system the test on
the buisness connector says it is the Play system and vica versa.

I am missing the trick.

Under Licences it has registered 2 Com Clients.
