Hi,

We've just gone live with AX 4.0 SP1. We applied a patch to the 
application, which has impacted the security setup. Except Admin users, 
the others were not able to see a few fields on reports. On 
investigation we found that if we export our security settings, delete 
the user group, re-create the user group and import the security 
settings we previously exported, the application behaves fine again. 
Can someone explain?

Although we've found out how we can restore the application to normal 
again, this is a major pain… We have over 50 user groups and 6 domains. 
Also there are about 150 record level security settings that need to be 
redone each time we apply a patch… Is there a simpler way out? Some way 
we can do the security setup faster?
