If your scanner can have 100% WiFi connection coverage than I would highly recommend using Terminal Services.
That's what we do here. We've created special Ax forms that fit the device. When the user open Terminal Services it automatically opens Ax than it opens his special "Main menu". It's easy to do and everything is in Ax. You don't have to mess with the Business Connector.
