How many tickets are open on the fact if something works/doesn't work when (not) using a (powered) usb hub on a fonera?
Eg in this case using a (non) powered usb hub gives us no recognition of the attached device... perhaps this also translates to -> printer, 3G stick, audio stick, webcam ? In case that the hardware is really the same, but advertises different vidpids (sometimes happens when hardware is rebranded), you could try to change the vidpid in the fowsr sources and compile that...
