Hi there, Although mostly fixes go into Qt 5 first, I think at some point an exception for patches from Digia was discussed as long as they are forward ported promptly (a few other patches fell through the cracks too).
http://www.mail-archive.com/development@qt-project.org/msg01340.html The forward porting doesn't seem to have happened much, so if you are a maintainer please look through patches in modules you care about and forward port them yourself. I've just done so for src/gui/itemviews.
