Since general churn while "stabilising" is a central part of the discussion, let's take a look at the change, since my early November API review push, in just the not-obviously-boring[*] changes to API-related headers. ([*] If you can see any changes in the reviews that a dumb script could be taught to recognise as boring, please do bring them to my attention.) These are the results of git diff | wc between November's patch sets and today's:
lines words characters * qtbase 1696 7245 70274 * qtscxml 486 1455 19930 * qtwayland 451 1391 16252 * qtmultimedia 415 1103 14480 * qt3d 91 320 3263 * qtwebengine 41 181 1433 * qtconnectivity 33 158 1227 * qtdeclarative 32 108 1389 * qtquickcontrols2 20 125 786 * qtandroidextras 18 117 728 * qtactiveqt 18 106 663 * qtcanvas3d 18 98 621 * qtcharts 18 89 594 * qtdatavis3d 13 32 476 * qtwebsockets 13 32 225 * qtserialport 12 31 243 (with apologies to those whose mailers are too clever about spacing). Some of that is git diff's own over-head, of course; so most modules are quite sensible - but those first four, especially qtbase, should surely give folk pause for thought. It has been two months, but then again this is a limited API-related diff to begin with. Anyway - interpret how you will, here's some data, Eddy. _______________________________________________ Development mailing list Development@qt-project.org http://lists.qt-project.org/mailman/listinfo/development
