Hi,

There seems to be some unclarity and internal discussion ongoing related to
this; maybe the wording is a bit misleading in tasks. For the future releases
I'll create new template for these requests and try to do better description :D

But the target is that every maintainer checks if some 3rd party module has
some critical updates and so on needs to be updated for the release. Of course
we shouldn't do blind update & risk the release just because there is newer
version; At this point of release we should just do the update if there is
something really critical fixed in newer version. So it is maintainers
responsibility to do the check and make the decision. And that is tracked with
https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-70851. So please remember to close the
task when checked and needed updates are done; tasks are in release blocker
list so we need to close those before we can proceed with release

br,
Jani
