Qt 6.11 status:
- Qt 6.11.1 release content is frozen and final dependency update round is
ongoing
   * The target is to release Qt 6.11.1 by the end of this week but most
probably there isn't enough time for testing and so on releasing might be
delayed to the beginning of next week

Qt 6.12 status:
- No successful dependency update round in the 'dev'
   * Known issues should be fixed and new round is ongoing
   * The target is to create new snapshot from the dev after next successful
dependency update round.
- 6.12 platform and module freeze will be in effect 15th May

Next meeting Tue 12th May 2026 16:00 CET

[17:01:26] <jaheikki3> Time to start qt release team meeting
[17:01:32] <jaheikki3> on agenda today:
[17:01:35] <jaheikki3> Qt 6.11 status
[17:01:38] <jaheikki3> Qt 6.12 status
[17:01:45] <jaheikki3> Any additional item to the agenda?
[17:02:32] <akseli> jaheikki3: late pong
[17:03:07] <jaheikki3> Let's start from Qt 6.11 status:
[17:03:36] <jaheikki3> Qt 6.11.1 release content is finally frozen and final
dependency update round is ongoing
[17:03:51] <jaheikki3> We should have release packages for testing tomorrow
morning
[17:04:54] <jaheikki3> The target is to release Qt 6.11.1 by the end of this
week but let's see if we can test packages in this schedule or do we need to
postpone the release to the beginning of next week
[17:05:22] <jaheikki3> That's all about 6.11.1 status. Any comments or
questions?
[17:06:54] <jaheikki3> Then Qt 6.12 status
[17:07:29] <jaheikki3> Unfortunately there isn't successful dependency update
round in dev yet
[17:07:44] <jaheikki3> Known issues should be fixed and new round is ongoing
[17:08:04] <jaheikki3> If that succeed we will finally be able to create new
snapshot
[17:08:31] <jaheikki3> And the plan is to made it publicly available, if it is
well enough
[17:09:02] <jaheikki3> 6.12 platform and module freeze will be in effect 15th
May
[17:09:31] <jaheikki3> It seems there won't be new modules at this time
[17:09:47] <jaheikki3> at least I don't know any...
[17:10:10] <jaheikki3> that's all about 6.12 status at this time, any comments
or questions?
[17:10:10] <thiago> no one has said anything
[17:10:23] <jaheikki3> thiago: yes, true...
[17:10:26] <thiago> I'd expect at least a labs project to have started
[17:11:16] <vohi[M]> the only work impacted by platform/module freeze should be
the new HarmonyOS port
[17:11:55] <vohi[M]> and that's under review at
https://codereview.qt-project.org/c/qt/qtbase/+/733351
[17:12:16] <thiago> that looks really mature, BTW
[17:12:28] <thiago> a few rough edges, but mostly good
[17:12:43] <vohi[M]> good to hear, and thanks for reviewing
[17:13:58] <jaheikki3> Yeah, great to hear
[17:14:32] <jaheikki3> It was all at this time so let's end this meeting now
and have new one Tue 12th May at this same time
[17:14:42] <jaheikki3> thanks for your participation,bye!
[17:14:49] <frkleint> bye
[17:15:29] <thiago> bye
