Hi!

Qt 6.12 Platform and Module -freeze is in effect now, so no new modules or
provisioning related changes in ‘dev’ until ‘6.12’ is branched. Staging in
qt5#dev is restricted to release team only until branching from ‘dev’ to ‘6.12’
is done.

There are some approved qt5.git changes waiting for integration in ‘dev’:
https://codereview.qt-project.org/q/branch:dev+project:qt/qt5+status:open+label:Code-Review%252B2.

If any of those are mandatory for Qt 6.12 FF, please ask an exception to
integrate those in. But please remember: the purpose of ‘Platform and Module
-freeze’ is to ensure stable & as effective CI as possible just before FF.
That’s needed to make sure you are able to finalize new features for Qt 6.12
early enough. So exception should be asked only for items which can’t wait
branching and Qt 6.12 Beta1.

br,
Jani

Subject: HEADS-UP: Qt 6.12 Feature Freeze is getting closer

Hi all,
Just a kind reminder: the Qt 6.12 Feature Freeze will take effect on May 29th,
and the Qt 6.12 Platform and Module Freeze already on May 15th, see
https://wiki.qt.io/Qt_6.12_Release .

This means it is time to start working on any required packaging-related
changes, so please inform me of any new modules planned for release in Qt 6.12.
Also let me know if any existing technology preview modules are planned to
become officially supported.

Br,
Jani Heikkinen
