Which customer wants to sit on a version of Qt with a known, unfixed bug?
Every customer who is not affected by such a bug and wants to avoid
large changes that might cause regression bugs
that would actually impact them.
in my former projects *no* product update which uses a new qt version
(minor or patch) would go out to customers without a full manual QA.
this not only applied to qt, but to every other component in order to
ensure the quality of the product.
the QA step in a release process could only be bypassed under very
special conditions, e.g. when the changeset has a minimal number of
moving parts
