Just a few random guesses: - is your USB host a USB-2.0 host or a USB-1.1 host? 1.1 may be slower. - are you going through a USB hub or connecting directly to the host ? Thru hub is said to cause problems due to the USB reset it performs, though it works fine for me thru a USB 2.0 hub. - is your download of *.jffs2 complete? Check the file length. (unfortunately you cannot check for a corrupted download because the website does not give MD5 hashes for the files)
