I had been playing a bit with gsmd these days and was a bit suprised to
see that there is something called a "GSM modem" which seems to be a
black box subsystem IIUC.
Did I misunderstand anything or would it be correct to say that OpenMoko
basically is the UI layer for a given phone which is controlled via AT
commands?
The page on the TI GSM chipset used mentions that due to NDAs, no
information about the inner workings of the GSM module is available.
Correct me if I am wrong.
