I have made some tests with implementing a cpufreq module to change the CPU speed. Currently the speed changing seems to work, however sometimes the USB stops working. The good news is that you can really improve battery life on the GTA01 this way. My plans are to also add a D-BUS interface for turning on/off the clocks to some of the other HW blocks (for example the audio PA doesn't need to be on when no sound is playing, USB don't need a clock when nothing is plugged in).
Hope is not lost for GTA01 ! /Micael
