I've got my networking back and have restarted the upgrade from the
Freerunner terminal. It is not clear if it is starting over or from
where it terminated. Sure is taking a long time. I hate to let it run
unattended, but I got to go. Will update status when complete.

Same thing may have happened to me - at least the ssh connection
dropped. I cannot get USB networking back on, so I'm not sure how
successful the upgrade was.
I also set the power management to dim just before this, I'm hoping
that explains the USB networking dropping.

I hope so :-)
I just ran it today. Had to run it from the phone itself (not
through ssh connection), because dropbear (I guess ssh server)
dropped connection on upgrade.
I'm not sure if the upgrade brought this or some package I
installed, but now the phone when dimmed sometimes stops responding
to anything and I have to take out and put in the battery.

Is it appropriate to run "opkg ugrade" after "opkg update"?
