I raised the issue with Oracle already, and while there's some tension between ASF over Java/Harmony, all in all I would say, there are several examples, not just Reference Implementations of Servlets, JSP, JCR (where * Day/Adobe* Spec Lead has lacked so much contribution, that the JSR is now inactive[?]) or more recently DeltaSpike, that Apache and Oracle/JCP can play well together.
