Definitely. I will be doing it in stages and the core algorithm will be the
last one. So I will keep you (and everyone else) updated on the status.

This is taken from Javascript in the browser, so it’s the complete round trip.

I would love to help out where needed. Just let me know.

Reza, all,

like the demo. The XHR offers some interesting perspectives for future
API implementations.

I'm 'reworking' the .Net OpenDDR/Miri-fork to contribute to the
DeviceMap code-base.
As matter stand now, with the exception of the Miri-fork's ability to
connect to various 'data-sources' (XML, JSON, Redis, SQL) it's core
(parsing and identification) is essentially identical to the current
C# code. (some change made for CLI-compliance)

It would be nice if we could find a way to coordinate your reworking
of the java code with that so that any improvements and changes you
make to the java code are reflected in the .Net version. That way both
versions remain 'in sync' from the point of view of core functionality.

Reza, with regard to "performance", I see a 'time-taken' value in ms
on the demo page. It would be nice to know 'where' this is measured. I
mean, in my demo of the .Net version the ms value reflects only the
'resolver' time. This obviously makes things look 'good' but is a bit
of a cheat because it does not count the time it takes to generate the
rest of the 'response'.

Also :

I'm planning an article on the implementation of DeviceMap currently
running on my servers here. The idea is to gather my thoughts and
maybe in the process, drum up some attention for DeviceMap and
possible implementations.
It will include details on how the "integration code" Reza mentions is
implemented here.
I'm thinking of putting the finished article up on my Google+ thingie
- -- might as well use it now that I have it -- and drop a line to the
'usual suspects' (DZone, HN, Slashdot,...) but if any of you know of a
better place to publish and publicize it, do let me know.
Maybe a review of the draft by some members here would be useful and
advisable too.

Finally, it would be nice to have an 'official' DeviceMap site for the
.Net version. I have a full demo site with additional tools (described
earlier) nearly ready (the proverbial 90%).
I don't know what Apache's resources in this area are nor what the
policies are but I have no problem dedicating one of the servers here
to the task and ensure privileged access for members in addition to
making the demos and general content available to the public.

Looking forward to your comments etc,

esjr
