Yup, Drupal modules, themes etc are required to be GPL ( https://drupal.org/licensing/faq/#q7). I'm not a Mobilizer committer, as each project has its own set of commit rights, but I'll see about getting set up.
While we're on the subject, if there's an interest in building out Drupal implementation(s) of the DeviceMap API, probably the biggest project to try and get into is Omega (https://drupal.org/project/omega, compare the usage statistics with Mobilizer, haha). Omega is a big deal in the Drupal community, so the standards for contributing code are very high. I know a friend of the author, so maybe that could help. Long term though, we'd probably want a stand-alone drupal module or theme (or both?) that supplies DeviceMap data to other parts of Drupal. So excited that my skills are finally relevant to DeviceMap!
