Looks like the most promising approach could be this one based on askPythia
by W3C http://www.w3.org/2009/11/mobileOKPythia/plugin-wordpress.html

It used initial (Open ;-) WURFL but in a "processed" form, compatible with
W3C SimpleDDR so it should be possible to use with DeviceMap/OpenDDR data.
