There's no LICENSE/NOTICE files, in these releases. That's a must have.

I won't be able to verify the build.

I have not verified the signature/checksum. Please note that they are
expected to follow the form of <filename>.asc / .md5 or .sha1. This is
described here -- http://www.apache.org/dev/release-signing.html . This is
a must have.

For future-proofing, it would be nice if the archives extracted into a
directory named after the release (that's just my opinion -- the project
can follow any convention they want).
