Why inches ?
Why pixels and not like the majority [Android] dots ?

All this 'calculation' without, nay, to avoid a unit of measure ?

And what about Pixel Ratio which is readily available, standard and
relevant to rendering instead of ppi which strike me more as a
'bragging' number ?

Again : no objections to including it provided *all* cases are covered
: pixels, dots, metric,... ie : when a unit of measure is included.

You suggestion is too restricted [pixels per inch only] and
presupposes calculations and presupposes the user to know PPI has for
some reason been decreed the norm [which it isn't, it is one of...]
and the "simple calculations".
