Hi all,

In the device tree t4240rdb-usdpaa.dts
(http://git.freescale.com/git/cgit.cgi/ppc/sdk/linux.git/tree/arch/powerpc/boot/dts/t4240rdb-usdpaa.dts)
All the ethernet interfaces are dedicated for use by usdpaa. So that they are
NOT visible to Linux kernel network stack. This brings inconvenience
for development.

On p4080ds board, I noticed that ethernet@1 is used as a normal Linux ethernet
for kernel network stack.

This seems to be more convenient for development (such as booting board through
nfs, ssh login, and so on)

Can we reserve one or more 1G interfaces for Linux kernel network on t4240rdb
(applicable to several other targets as well)?

Thanks a lot.

Best regards,
Huimin She
