Troy,

I just had this same problem today. It turned out to be a corrupt
esmithsg.bak file. I did another backup and restore and the new file was
OK. I didn't have any luck restoring the old file, even after a fresh
E-Smith install.

Try doing another backup and see if you can restore that file.

Trev.

Subject: [e-smith-devinfo] unable to do a backup 4.0

Hi all,

I am about to grade our test smith server 4.0. But when I try and access the
backup/restore link (web access) I get "You are not authorized to view this
page".

Any idea what this could be?

I am logging in as admin - so could it be a cgi problem? if so, from the
console what command should I do to perform a manual backup.

Thanks again for a great product.

Regards,
Troy Dangerfield
