Hi Charlie,

Strange then isn't it. I'm out of the office now but what
I noticed was this with a little further digging. Prior
to implementing e-smith-backup-1.2.0-10.noarch.rpm all
backups started at block 41. After installing the update
backups started at block 65, I performed an e-smith-mananger
restore and that work fine, except for the noted rewind
error. However the next backup tests, again starting at block
65 did not allow me to perform any flexbackup command-line
list or restore jobs.

I rebooted the server and did some more backups.
They now all start at block 85 and everything works fine?

Darrell

See the changelog below..

According to this, end of tape was encountered.

I've actually quoted below from:

rpm -qv --changelog e-smith-backup-1.2.0-11.noarch.rpm

and you haven't yet seen e-smith-backup-1.2.0-11.noarch.rpm, it needs to
be tested internally.

Neither of these should have any affect at all on doing a tape restore,
which is what you seem to have been attempting.
