We don't plan to put out updates for 4.1b2. We are instead planning to put
out 4.1b3 by some time next week.
I expect that spell checking will work if you grab the ispell RPM from
RedHat 6.2 and install that. RedHat 7 has replaced the ispell RPM with a
replacement package called aspell, but that requires various other stuff
to be installed as well.
If anyone fixes the other problems, of course we'd be happy to receive a
patch.
