devinfo readers,

Is anyone here a user of DocBook or SGML in general? I'm having a devil
of a time generating a PDF or PostScript file from by DocBook file for
the user manual. I've been trying "db2pdf" and "openjade" using Norman
Walsh's standard DSSSL stylesheets. I *do* get a PDF file... and it looks
okay, until you get to Chapter 4 and the tables there. It then screws
up and all subsequent pages have the text all run together with no margins.
I've tried inserting extra "<para></para>" lines near the section headings
to see if that had any effect. It didn't work. I am also not getting any
images into the files. I've tried generating PostScript with a similar result.

If anyone has any ideas, I'd definitely like to hear from you. If you want
to try it out, the DocBook file is at

  http://www.e-smith.org/docs/manual/

I've now got the EPS versions of the images up there (needed for the PDF
files).

Thanks,
Dan
