        True enough.  I just tried again, and the only file in /var/log/httpd/
(or, for that matter, in /var/log/) that was changed was access_log. 
Here's what it said:

        In the quotes, the symbol pasted in as a Euro symbol, but it displayed
in the telnet window as � (Alt + 0199 in Windows).  That was the only
line with a timestamp at the right time.

        Yes, it does.  http://danb.mine.nu pulls up the index page just fine,
but https://danb.mine.nu gives a "connection refused".
