Okay, before I try to write down how I did it I will outline the
requirements.
The requirements are:
- Commercial virus scanner (Iused Sophos because the University has a site
license)
Supported virus scanners are:
Network Associates Virus Scan
1.2 DrSolomon (obsolete)
H+BEDV AntiVir/X
Sophos Sweep
Kaspersky Lab AntiViral Toolkit Pro (AVP)
CyberSoft VFind
Trend Micro FileScanner
CAI InoculateIT
F-Secure Inc. (former DataFellows) F-Secure AV
Even the Trend Micro which often outlined as 'free' for personal used under
Linux costs about 1.200 per 50 seat license.
- The Amavis 0.2.1 isn't available as an .rpm, you have to install a
compiler (can give a list what I installed).
- To scan also compressed and/or coded attachments you have to install 12
decompress rpms (easy).
Now, if it is still interesting for any e-smith users I will provide a more
detailed step by step manual.
