Greetings all. I thought the ntp problem in rc3 was fixed. I suspect that
might have been an issue remaining from upgrading from beta 4.

this is the ip for time.nrc.ca which I have configured through the e-smith
manager to use as my time server.

also getting strange messages in my e-mail box. from cron see below. still
have a lot to learn about all this linux stuff so I could try and provide a
solution to this instead of just posting a problem report.

/etc/cron.daily/makewhatis.cron:
zcat: stdout: Broken pipe
zcat: stdout: Broken pipe
zcat: stdout: Broken pipe
zcat: stdout: Broken pipe
zcat: stdout: Broken pipe
zcat: stdout: Broken pipe
that goes on for a couple of screens.

and then
/etc/cron.weekly/makewhatis.cron:
zcat: stdout: Broken pipe
zcat: stdout: Broken pipe

any ideas? any info would be much appreciated.

configuration is below

e-smith server version 4.1 rc3 which was upgraded from beta 4

would be happy to provide additional info if required.

brian.
