OK, the e-smith local wisdom on this one (after asking around) is:
1. Remove any non-standard RPMs
2. Apply any relevant upgrade RPMS
3. /sbin/e-smith/signal-event post-upgrade
4. /sbin/e-smith/signal-event reboot
That should recover the apache config(s) so that all is working OK (as
long, that is, as all the contrib RPMs were well behaved).
