Thanks Michael!  It worked.  My local LUG also responded about the same time
with the same solution. :)

BTW, I never edited this file on a windows box.  I grabbed it right from an
rpm and installed it.  The only editor I used was the one in midnight
commander.  Is this editor known to corrupt files?
