I just got another post showing someone getting the card to work with a
smaller array. So now it is a matter of determining the upper limit.

I had previous information from the manufacturer that the DiskDruid method
would not work well on their cards, which is why my previous attempts were
to alter the install script to use the fdisk method. This has not worked
yet.

This box has not yet gone into service, so if anyone has a suggestion I
still have ample time to test some out.

I have a feeling it is the card. I am also using a 6400 with 3 drives to
get a ~150 gig in RAID5, but the 6800 never shows more than 20. I have it
fully populated and should have a 539 gig array.

G'Day Eric,

I will be getting my hands on a few different ones (Evaluation boards) from
the distributor. I don't know if I will have 8 or so disks to check with.

Or is it just the fact that the card IS the 6800 - or is it the number of
disks and raid level used that is causing the problem?

Cheers,
Richard.
