I need to walk before I run :)  I'd simply like to begin with a current 
userlist dump into the awol database first.  Unless someone else steps up 
to assist ;->

I've progressed to determine the syntax for this is a follows (all one 
line of course):

INSERT INTO awol VALUES ( '', 'DEFAULT', 'Fred', \
'Fred Flintsone', 'Flintstone', '', '', '', \
'', '', '', '', '', 'out', '', '', $

and then if placed in a file can be imported as follows:

mysql awol < /opt/groupware/awol/awol.userlist

Still working....
