There is an add-on for phpsysinfo which can do this, but the biggest problem is configuring the driver level. There are a variety of chipsets, some with linux drivers and some not. Detecting the hardware is quite a hit and miss process. See: http://freshmeat.net/projects/lm_sensors/ This would be a beaut little project for someone to work on.
