I'm currently working on getting a HowTo together docummenting what I have
done since. I have successfully gotten all of the packages updated to the
latest 7.2 update except for bind (named). This includes the kernel, samba,
imp, etc. There is one problem I'm running into in that I can't get the
root filesystem to mount ext3. I can create the journal but when I reboot I
get everything except for the root ext3 and the root is ext2. I have found
in the initrd file for the latest kernel that it mounts the root filesystem
as ext2. When I change this to ext3 I get a major error and the system will
not boot anymore.

If there is anyone out there with bind (named) experience that would like to
help fix the problem or anyone that has experience converting ext2 root
filesystem to ext3 and would like to help then we might be able to get an
ISO that is build on top of RedHat 7.2 with latest updates pretty quickly.
