> I am afraid of the quality issue with Onstream. Noted, however I believe this was with the Onstream DI30 which was problem prone. This was their first generation product. The Onstream ADR2.60 is their second generation product. I've heard it is much better so this prompted me to take another look at Onstream. If anyone has any long term experience I'd like to hear from them. For some more hardware news, coming very soon, Seagate will be shipping their new Travan 40GB IDE. Next generation to their excellent 20GB unit, same 3.5 inch form factor. Onstream will also be releasing an ADR2.120 IDE this summer. The only other IDE choice is the Exabyte/Ecrix 66GB IDE. Also known to work with SME but it has been reported to me it exhibits odd behaviour with a new blank tape. It fails the initial backup on a blank tape but works on the second attempt.
