I find your wish list to be noble and virtuous.

My wish list for 0.3.10 is something like this:

Add -future and -past flags to IndexClient.

Add an option to IndexClient which specifies how many misses to tolerate.

Add XML-RPC bindings to IndexClient.

Add the mythical ?htl= parameter to FProxy.
