It is an old idea, but it is great that someone is looking into an
implementation.
Actually, I suggested a while ago that FCP layer 3 could incorporate
functionality to do this type of thing. The advantage is that the node
could do time-consuming operations long after the client has terminated
so the user doesn't have to wait around.
