I've drawn up plans for a splitfile manager that handles both the
publishing and retrieving of splitfiles from within ezFCPlib. It stems
from the ideas you offered a few months ago.

There's also tons of memory leaks, both in ezFCPlib (a no-no) and the
fcptools (more tolerable, since they're not resident like the library).
I think some of these leaks are causing mysterious errors that have
been so far impossible to track.

Before I do anything, I will post an email with a concise plan for the
"rewrite" of FCPtools. I quote rewrite because much of the code is ok
the way it is, and I would prefer preserving the parts that are solid.
I will identify the key areas to be addressed first and foremost and go
from there.

In the meantine, the 0.4.7 branch will remain the "stable" (whatever
that means at this point in time) branch, and I will commit the
rewrite-related changes to HEAD. Perhaps if the 0.4.7 branch is
patched to the max it will approach some sense of usability. Feel free
to band-aid anything that's broken in the branch.
