I must have forgotten about signing a license to include a GIF file in the Freenet distro. Exactly who is supposed to have signed this license, and why exactly are we bound by it? > The question is if Freenet developers want to play hide'n'seek > with GIF or use something clearly free of any conflicts. The question is whether the money of those donating to the Freenet project should be used to make political points that are orthogonal to the goals of this project. > >Those who donated to us did not donate to the "Burn All Gifs" project. > And some of us might donate to "Burn All Gifs" project but not on > projects using GIF's.. And some might not donate to a project that doesn't endorse George Bush's Presidency - does that mean that we should have a big "We Love Bush" banner on the Freenet gateway? It is amuzing when people assume that just because someone agrees with them on one particular issue, they agree with them on others. I can't tell you how many people of one particular persuasion or another believe that I support their views just because they agree with me about freedom of communication.
