In effect, a node itself could act in a similar manner to these "gwebcache" scripts, which could be harvested centrally and mixed together. An even more ambitious idea that was considered some time ago was to have nodes insert their refs periodically under SSKs which could then be harvested, adding an extra layer of obfuscation against anyone that might use this information maliciously. Having said all that, is there any evidence that the current mechanism isn't working?
