We should consider support for content which deletes itself at a preset
time. This would be useful for several reasons:

Much of the content in Freenet is only useful for a limited amount of
time (eg. DBR freesites) - it would be nice if old content didn't stay
around cluttering things up if it isn't necessary.

If we ever get Freenet radio, then live Freenet streams will definitely
want to delete old blocks to conserve space.

Remember that no author will be forced to use this functionality, but I
think that many will decide that it is in the interests of Freenet to
take advantage of it. Note also that we could make freenet nodes reward
such content a-little in some ways (permit higher HTL perhaps, or be
more reluctant to delete it if it will be deleting itself soon).

Thoughts?

Ian.
