The only objection would be a technical and (hopefully) short term one:
the Mozilla SVG viewer is only of alpha quality at the moment.

It will fail at any color depth except 16 unless you're running really-up-to
date nightly builds and it onyl supports a very small subset of SVG. (Not 
fully even including text last I checked).
