We are unlikely to deploy wordpress on the main website, for security reasons. Sorry :(
The main website is not going to be that big anyways, so I don't think we really need a content management system. The vast majority of content should go on the wiki (new-wiki.freenetproject.org). Our current approach (for the main website) is to pre-generate static HTML pages from various templates. If wordpress has some sort of templating language that you're familiar with, we could look into switching to that. I've done something similar based on the django templating language before.
