This is getting silly. 1) "You had weeks to do it." -> I had exactly 10 days and zero notice. 2) It's not my fault if there is no separate email thread about it. 3) I'm clearly not the only one who could have flagged that we currently have a "barely working windows installer" and that it might be a good idea to do something about it. > > You still haven't answered my question though... > > > > are we seriously not budgeting for "fixing the installers"? > > > > I can live with "no", but can I get a straight answer today > > > We will not be slaves to the outcome of this process, so if someone > has a > good proposal for a way to use some of the funding to fix the > installers, > and it is widely felt that this is a pressing issue, then we can do > it. > > > > > > or do I > > need to wait for another 6 months for the process to finish? > > > > It's hypocritical for you to complain about how long the process is > taking > when you've done very little to help move it forward. > I have done everything I could to help it move forward. I have from very early on, identified problems with the said process (non-binding, doesn't define who takes part, no timeline, ...), asked for clarifications (that have never been forthcoming)... contributed to it and even re-started the process when it was stuck! > > PS: I am trying to keep an open-mind here... but you are making > > everyone go through a process that seems new to everyone but you... > > and > > that you didn't bother defining in specific terms. When I ask a total question such as "are we seriously not budgeting for fixing the installers?", I expect a yes or no answer... that would allow me to decide whether I should schedule time to do it myself or not. Your answer is just not helpful. Florent
