Hi,

Most of you are already aware that we are moving away from our existing
infrastructure soon.

Part of the migration involves changes to the email setup and affects
the Mailing lists.

The "new" infrastructure is already in place but not yet in useĀ (higher-
priority MX records) and I am planning on making the switch this week-
end unless I get a very good reason not to.

What doesn't change:
- @freenetproject.org aliases should keep working, VERP aliases now let
you use both '+' and '-' as separators.

What does change:
- There won't be any moderation any more; If you are not a subscriber
your email will be rejected, if you are annoying you will be forcefully
unsubscribed.
- There won't be list-tags in the subject of emails sent from the
mailing lists nor all the fancy features we got used to.
- We won't maintain list-archives going forward but I am planning on
sending our full archive to a few external 3rd parties.
- subscription/un-subscription from mailing lists: the subscription part
is dependent on the new website being deployed... the unsubscription
part (hopefully) dealt with by your MUA through the List-Unsubscribe
header
- the spam filtering is now handled by mailgun; if you are loosing
emails, complain to them :)
- the spam delivery is now handled by mailgun: one notable difference
from the existing setup is that their default configuration does
opportunistic TLS verification but *rejects* invalid certificates (the
legacy setup didn't)

Please do test the new infrastructure (connecting to the new MX records)
and let me know if something doesn't feel right.

Regards,
        Florent
