I would want to be able to track the number of requests passing through
servers, and different connections between them. Say one could make nodes as
points and connections between them as lines, and then increase the size of
those with use. 

Being able to change settings and getting reads on how it effects the network
would be good. Also being able to simulate attacks (for example, one might set
one node to "perfect cancer" so that it always returns a false result on a
request (and gets away with it) and see how that changes the topology after
100,000 requests).
