Apparently the IBM JDK chokes on brandon's hextolong() in
Message.java. Our theory is that Math.pow was biting the big one over 32
bits.
I rewrote the core loop to something that looks a lot more sane, probably
more efficient, and doesnt give IBM fits. Enjoi.
